Himachal Pushp Kranti Yojna (HPKY)
It
was launched in the year 2018-19.
Objectives:
• To facilitate the growers of the
state in establishment of new protected infrastructure and in improving the existing
protected infrastructure for flower crops.
• To increase productivity per unit area of commercially viable
floricultural and ornamental crops under protected cultivation.
•
To provide an opportunity to the progressive growers of the state to
diversify into more viable and profitable farming avocations and to promote the concept of
diversification within ornamental Horticulture so as to motivate farmers
towards the most profitable avocation under protected environments.
• Propagation of high value floricultural and
ornamental crops among others after in-depth market analysis for the benefit of
the growers of the state at high tech nursery sites and centre of excellence
sites, being owned by DOH.
- Guiding growers in selection of quality
planting material of commercial cut flowers, cut greens, potted plants,
ornamental flowering bulbs, orchids and landscape plants for commercial
raising.
- To guide
the unemployed youth of the state to adopt protected cultivation of
commercial crops as a source of self-employment.
- To
generate employment opportunities for skilled and unskilled labour in the
field of protected cultivation.
- To provide
a protective cover against monkey menace, other wild animals, adverse weather
vagaries for the growers involved in high tech cultivation of commercial
flower crops.
Scheme components:
Erection of Naturally Ventilated Poly Houses, Poly tunnels, High Tech
Poly houses in the State.
Provision of elite planting material of high value flower crops grown
under protected structures.
Human Resource Development and Capacity Building (Farmer sensitization
and trainings)

Mukhya Mantri Greenhouse Renovation Scheme (MMGRS)
OBJECTIVES:
Higher productivity and better quality of
produce.
Cultivation of cash crops under protective cover
will safeguard against adverse weather conditions and will enhance life span of
crops.
Better adoption of precision farming practices
like precision planting/seeding, fertigation, micro-irrigation, weed
management, pest and disease management etc.
Efficient inputs use and reduction in cost of
production.
Conservation of scarce resource i.e. water, by achieving
high water use efficiency.
Easy to adopt organic farming practices which
are eco friendly and availability of safe clean food products with full
traceability.
Year-round production, allowing farmers to take
advantage of market seasonality and higher prices
Farmers can advance/delay and segregate
production of cash crops as per market demand.
Safeguard against impact of biotic and abiotic
stresses.
Better adoption of integrated crop management
methods in the controlled conditions to maximize the benefits of greenhouse
cultivation.

HIMACHAL
KHUMB VIKAS YOJNA (HPKY).
Objectives of Scheme:
1. Women
empowerment through technological interventions in the mushroom cultivation
keeping in pace with the changing climate.
2. To introduce
mushrooms as nutritive food for human consumption in mid-day meals, Govt.
canteens, Civil hospitals etc.
3. Being indoor
crop no effect of weather vagaries, wild animal/stray animal/monkey menace.
4. To generate
sustainable livelihood opportunities in farming sector for un-employed youth of
the state.
5. Providing
technical & financial support to individual private growers/ groups in
establishment of small/medium scale mushroom production & processing
units.
6. Target at
providing technical training to women, small, marginal and landless farmers,
and rural youth.
7. To uplift
the socio economic status of the farming community.
8. To make
Himachal Pradesh as “Mushroom State of India”.
